its about time tumblr saw some real art around here

my critique: It is awesome to put it plainly. I couldn’t have done better. It just puts the bad in bad ass. If no one could appreciate this art there is problem. It puts a new spin on the characters and I absolutely love it. I would put it into a contest. No picture that I have seen so far has put so much color and detail into one piece. I have seen others but none as good as this. I hope that you keep up you works of bad assery and not let you wonderful ideas for art go to waste. Keep it up

If I may, I would like to point out how the sun is wearing sunglasses. Many artists would think this move has been overused but it’s that exact reason that makes this piece so magnificent. It brings up the question “why do people always put glasses on the sun?” which in turn provokes “why must the sun shield itself from itself?”. Honestly this image boggles my mind and such an artist with sheer talent like this should be revered. Nice job.

Thank you very much for all of your critiques, I took it well to heart because this is an image that I spent a great deal of thought over. I often times get asked, “Why are there two rainbows, and why is one rainbow smaller than the other?” Well, I would like to say that it represents that no matter how much you feel to be number one and the best and so self confident in everything you do and everything you are as a person, there will always be someone ahead of you— or in this case above you in the same exact things that you do and you will never be one step ahead of everyone else, because there’s always someone one step ahead of you. This ultimately leads to a downfall and self hatred. As you can see, the rainbow at the bottom slowly starts to lose its arch, which represents that self hatred. Soon the arch will disappear and it will be nothing but a bunch of colors lying on the ground and a new rainbow will form above that big rainbow and it will be a repeating process. It’s truly tragic, really, but I hope that this painting will really open the minds of young individuals.
